Welcome to my Art Gallery!
This is where you'll find paintings of wildlife and landscapes seen on our travels throughout Ontario Canada.
From the most Southern shores of this province, Kingsville/Leamington area we are delighted to include paintings of warblers, kinglets, swallows, orioles, waxwings, woodpeckers and more of the bird migrations seen, within this part of the Carolinian Forest and the Marshes throughout.
Travelling up to Algonquin Park's Deciduous and Boreal forests we include paintings of Moose, Bear, Fox, Martins, Eagles, Owls, Swans, Red Squirrels and other wildlife that call it their home.
Each painting study derives from a specific animal I have actually seen, spent time with and observed their behaviour. In most every painting, you will notice, I include the landscape and flora within. The compositions are created onsite and the sketch/painting is started. Some paintings are finished right there on the spot, while larger, more in depth oil paintings get started in the field and are completed in the studio.
Each animal sighting has such a unique story and it is such a pleasure to be able to share them with you. There are so many diverse areas, that help to challenge you as an artist. These challenges, help me strive to reflect this area and bring awareness to it. I suppose, this is why I do what I what I do.
My Hope is to bring awareness of them and their story, to you. Enjoy! :)
This site collects the paintings of Lynda Moffatt and makes original paintings and fine art prints available for purchase by fans of her work.
